EasyPlanner is a digital homeschool planning application operated by Luminari Education, LLC ("Luminari," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use EasyPlanner, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the EasyPlanner web application and any related services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use EasyPlanner.
EasyPlanner is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian ("Parent"). Parents create their own account and may create individual profiles or logins for their children ("Learners") so those children can view and complete their assigned work.
Because EasyPlanner is used by families with children, we take special care with children's information. Section 4 explains our approach in detail.
Parent account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name. Your password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form and is never visible to us.
Learner profiles you create. When you add a child to your family, we collect the information you choose to enter, such as the child's first name or nickname and a color or pathway label. If you enable a Learner login, we create login credentials for that child so they can access their own daily view.
Planning content. We store the lessons, subjects, schedules, notes, completion status, and any resource links or files you add to the planner. Uploaded files and linked resources are stored so they can be opened from within an assignment.
Subscription and payment information. Paid subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive limited billing details such as your subscription status and the last four digits and type of your card. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
Technical and usage information. Like most online services, we automatically receive certain information when you use EasyPlanner, such as device and browser type, log data, and cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to operate the Service.

We do not use the personal information of a Parent or Learner for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it.
Protecting children's information is a core commitment of EasyPlanner. Our practices are designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Parent-controlled accounts. Only a Parent or legal guardian may create an EasyPlanner account. Learner profiles and Learner logins are created and controlled entirely by the Parent. We do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to create an account on their own.
Parental consent. By adding a child to your family and, if you choose, enabling a Learner login, you act as the child's parent or legal guardian and provide consent for us to collect and store the limited information needed to give that child a daily planner view.
What we collect about Learners. We collect only what is necessary for the planning experience, such as the first name or nickname you enter and the assignments, schedule, and completion status associated with that Learner. Learners interact with their own day and check off their tasks. We do not require or request unnecessary personal details from children.
No direct collection or marketing. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children beyond what the Parent provides or enables, and we do not use children's information to market to them.
Parental control and deletion. As a Parent you can review, edit, or delete your child's profile and associated data at any time from within your account. You may also contact us at hello@luminari.school to request review or deletion of your child's information.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate parental involvement, please contact us at hello@luminari.school and we will promptly delete it.
We do not sell your personal information or your child's personal information.
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers (sub-processors). We use trusted third-party providers to host the application, store data, authenticate users, and process payments. These providers may process your information only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Our current providers include our cloud hosting, database and authentication provider, and our payment processor.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Luminari.
Business transfers. If Luminari is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and of any choices you may have.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. Passwords are stored in hashed form and payment card details are handled by our payment processor rather than stored on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete individual Learner profiles, planning content, or your entire account at any time. When you delete data or close your account, we will delete or de-identify the associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

EasyPlanner uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising. Where we use any analytics to understand and improve how the Service is used, we do so in a privacy-protective way.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email. Your continued use of EasyPlanner after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
